Lagardère Travel Retail, a dynamic part of the global Lagardère Services group, is a world-leading travel essentials, duty free and food service retailer, with operations in 30 countries throughout Europe, North America, Asia and the Pacific.
We are growing and as a result our very busy Buying Team are stretched to capacity with their day to day tasks and need an extra pair of hands. In this new and exciting role you would be involved in taking on a variety of support activities and will contribute to the smooth operation of our travel essentials business across all our stores – Relay, Tech2Go, Hub etc.
Some of your specific tasks will include:
- Maintaining the integrity and accuracy of the items database
- Creation of monthly promotional briefs
- Monitoring sales data and stock levels, studying trade, manufacturers’ and market information to keep informed of changing market conditions
- Replenishment: Order top ups for the NZ business
- Checking of invoices when discrepancies arise, ensuring account payments are up to date, new vendor creation forms etc.
- Preparing reports: Monthly range reviews, promotional analysis; Monitor Nielsen Market data and share with relevant publishers where applicable
Our ideal candidate will have:
- Retail experience preferably within a multi-site or national retail company
- Previous exposure to Buying would be a definite advantage
- Excellent communication skills
- Advanced Excel skills using Pivot tables is essential
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong analytical and organisational skills
